Positron Imaging Partners
is proud to have accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in PET.
This accreditation demonstrates the facility’s ongoing commitment to providing quality patient care in PET.
Accreditation by the IAC indicates that Positron Imaging Partners has undergone an intensive application and review process and is found to be in compliance with the published Standards, thus demonstrating a commitment to quality patient care in PET. Comprised of a detailed self-evaluation followed by a thorough review by a panel of medical experts, the IAC accreditation process enables both the critical operational and technical components of the applicant facility to be assessed, including representative case studies and their corresponding final reports.
Meet The Team
Dr. Howard Lewin
Dr. Howard Lewin is the founder and medical director for Positron Imaging Partners. He has over 30 years of experience in advanced cardiology imaging procedures. He completed his medical school training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and completed residency in Internal Medicine at The New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center. He completed a residency on Nuclear Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. He is Board certified by the ABIM, ABNM, and the CBNC and a fellow of the ACC and ASNC. After holding faculty positions at Cedars Sinai and UCLA for several years following training he moved the private practice where he has focused on an imaging based (SPECT and PET) practice. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging Cardiovascular Council. He also serves as an officer of the Cardiovascular Council for Cardiovascular Imaging (CCCVI) and served a similar capacity on the Board of the Certification Board for Nuclear Cardiology. He has also served on Board of Directors of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. He has authored over 100 research publications in Nuclear Cardiology. His current major focus of research involves optimization of imaging protocols and dosimetry for Cardiac PET.

Jennie Pham PA-C
Jennie Pham, PA-C obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology at the University of California Los Angeles and Master of Physician Assistant at Samuel Merritt University. She has been practicing in cardiology for 3 years. Jennie believes in building a rapport with patients so they feel supported.
Outside of medicine, Jennie enjoys hiking, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Janice Villegas NP
Janice Villegas is a Los Angeles native. She has been a cardiac nurse since 2013 and has two nurse practitioner certifications in family practice and acute care. She is also in the process of obtaining her doctorate degree. In her spare time, she enjoys international travel, wine tasting, horseback riding, snowboarding, and cooking.

Nida Siddiqui CNMT RT (N)
Nida Siddiqui, CNMT RT(N) has been working as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist since 2013 in both general Nuclear Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Texas at Dallas and her CNMT training at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Nida speaks fluent English, Urdu, and Hindi and is always happy to translate and help patients feel comfortable.
In her free time, Nida enjoys traveling, cooking, and spending time with her friends and family.

Kwon Do grew up NYC and moved to LA in 2016 right after graduation to work as a Nuclear Medicine technologist specifically in PET. Outside of healthcare, he helps people with their mortgage loans as a licensed MLO. In his free time, Kwon Do enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures. He also likes to go to the archery range and is currently learning how to golf.

Monica Vargas Assistant manager, CMA
Monica is a Chicago native and a long-time member of the Positron team. As a certified medical assistant Monica makes excellent patient care her priority. When she’s not working she enjoys hiking, amusement parks and recently obtained her certification to teach Zumba.

Amber Duncan Practice Manager
Originally from Utah-Amber moved to Los Angeles and joined the Positron team in 2011. She has managed various practices in her 20+ years of experience but cardiology is her favorite. A strong background in back office helps her to keep the office running smoothly. Amber’s top priority is a smooth well running clinic where patients feel welcome, and clients feel taken care of as well. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her pugs, reading and birdwatching.
